Guest contributor Anne Marie Fauvel contributed this blog post, thanks AMF! She’ll bee in Al-bee-on, as will I, as will lots of experts with information and insights for newbees through stung-for-decades-now beeks.
The Heartland Apicultural Society (HAS) will be held in Michigan for the first time. Coming up on July 9-11 at Albion College. Mark your calendar for what is shaping up to be the biggest beekeeping event in the heartland to take place in the Midwest. Major names in beekeeping from the four corners of our nation will meet in our state, including Dennis VanEngelsdorp from the University of Maryland and the Bee Informed Partnership, the infamous Queen of bee sex Sue Cobey from Washington State University, Dr. Clarence Collison and Renata Borba from the Minnesota Bee lab are only a few that belong to the 35+ speakers expected at HAS 2015. For more information and registration go to: www.heartlandbees.org. I’ll bee in Albion, will you bee?
